Vocabulary and Reading in Secondary Schools (VaRiSS) is an ESRC-funded project running from 2013 to 2017. The project aims to investigate how vocabulary knowledge and reading develop and change as pupils move from Year 7 to Year 9 of secondary school (age 11 to 14 years).
